Most people who know me know that butterflies are a meaningful symbol that I’ve used in various stages of my life - representing beginning anew. It’s difficult for me to NOT buy a butterfly stamp so this one, which has text in the background and the word INSPIRE in the lower right corner, has tempted me for months. I finally purchased it at one of my favorite local stores, My Craft Room in Troy. Then I purchased a daisy triangle stamp by Stacy Stamps (daisies are also a favorite of mine) and used the finished work in a different way, as an envelope liner.
So, I share with you the photos in my gallery of my use of Copic Markers, Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, yellow card stock with matching envelope and stamps by the companies mentioned. Copic Markers (and airbrushed) were R20 Blush, Rv13 Tender Pink, Y02 Canary Yellow, Y06 Yellow and E09 Burnt Sienna.
I stamped the large triangle stamp in black and airbrushed it, then trimmed it to fit inside top of the envelope. The stamp set also had a single daisy which I stamped twice, colored with Copic markers and then popped up both images over the word Inspire which is n the Butterfly stamp. The card is actually a postcard style, which allows for a message on the reverse side before placing it in the envelope. Envelope liners just add a nice extra touch of personalization! Try it!
