In 1992 I was director of the 12th International Assembly of Lettering Artists in Michigan. It was a wonderful experience sharing and learning calligraphy and the techniques that enhance it. There were several hundred participants and instructors. Lothar Hoffmann, an internationally known calligrapher was our honorary chairperson and he designed the Mosaic logo. He gave it to me at the end of the conference. I was DELIGHTED with this gift, of course. I added “studio” to the logo to reflect it’s use as my home studio business. Mosaic truly describes me - I am the sum of a lot of artistic parts. Or, you could say I know a lot of things.....still working on the one thing I’m an expert in. |
