This was a fun cake I made for a neighborhood kids' party that was supposed to be today.....including a little parade of strollers, bikes, wagons, etc. Michigan's cold, rainy weather caused the party to be cancelled, so the cake will go to a baptism party tomorrow.
I am eager to see if the inside is red, white and blue, which is what the recipe showed. Hmmm.....do you think I can wait until tomorrow to cut a sliver out so I can peek? :)
Happy 4th of July!! Looks like Michigan has been celebrating since last Monday!
Blessings......
Candice
UPDATE: Thanks to the beautiful (NOT) weather on Saturday, the party for the neighborhood children was cancelled, so I cut the cake today and shared it with a couple of neighbors and my 92 yr. old mother-in-law. It IS cool how it came out, and my granddaughter wants to make one with me in green, blue and white. That will probably be a project when she visits in August. Maybe I'll try it with cupcakes.
This was from a boxed super moist Betty Crocker cake mix and Fluffy White Frosting, which I dyed.
If you want the recipe, let me know
